Laboratories in AECS-3, Rawatbhata
Science lab
Science is specific knowledge which arouses curiosity which in turn enhances observation and experimentation so that conclusions can be drawn.
For observation and experimentation a platform is needed and it can be noother place than a Science laboratory. To meet the requirements of our Secondary students,
science lab (for General Science, Math, Physics, Chemistry and Biology) is provided with excellent
equipment and facilities ensuring safe learning experience in a spacious and distinct setup, in concurrence with the CBSE norms.
General science laboratory of AECS-3 is well equipped to carry out experiments and demonstrations in Physics, Chemistry and Biology which arouses
curiosity and includes creativity among the students as they themselves perform experiments.
Laboratory has latest equipments like Digital Microscope which enables students to observe a given specimen or slide and also to magnify it and see
finer details on desktop monitor. Motility of organisms can be observed on desktop without straining the eyes.
To follow the principle of hands on minds on science there are many models of POP for human anatomy which allows students to see details of human
body and assemble the parts on their own.
A very fascinating feature of laboratoryis articulated human skeleton wherein a student can join and assemble all the bones and understand human skeleton
and compare it with another complete model of skeleton in lab.
Laboratory has an Astronomical Telescope which allows the student to see celestial bodies.
Laboratory has all instruments of Physics like Voltmeter, Ammeter, Physical Balance, Optical Bench etc. which are used by students to perform experiments
and learn by themselves.
Laboratory is well equipped with all Slides, Chemicals, Glasswares etc. so that students can carry out experiments on their own and draw conclusions.
This laboratory proves a boon to the students when they want to make Projects during Science Exhibition and also to demonstrate scientific principles during Science
Week and Science Day celebration, as all the students have access to lab and are provided the materials that they need. Students performed fascinating experiments
like BLOODY HANDSHAKE, DETECTION OF FAKE CURRENCY, HOT AIR BALLOON, FIRE WITHOUT MATCHSTICK, PREPARATION OF SYNTHETIC MILK etc.
To inculcate scientific temperament among the students, they are motivated to participate in competitive exams like GREEN OLYMPIAD, KAMP EXAM ,
ASTRONOMY QUIZ OF CBSE etc.
Students also try to upgrade their knowledge and acquire higher levels of science applications by appearing in exams like NTSE for which they get help from teachers.
One student got selected for stage two of NTSE in 2020.
Science department also organizes school level science exhibition so that students can come up with novel ideas and be more creative. 107 students participated
in school level science exhibition in junior science category and displayed 48 projects. 4 students got a chance to participate at all India inter AECS exhibition.
Computer lab
Today’s world is the world of technology. Technology has occupied all the areas of human life. Computers play important role in technology enabled learning.
Computers are one of the best gifts of technological advancements to mankind. They have indeed improved the quality of our lives by making it easier for us.
To keep our students up-to-date with latest technological advancements and to boost their analytical skills, our school has a fully-equipped computer laboratory.
The purpose of the lab is to prepare students to creatively master various basic and advanced computer skills. All the computers in our labs are well equipped with
updated systems and advanced softwares. With the use of advanced technology, our students develop critical thinking and analytical skills. This not only improves their
practical skills, but also harnesses all otheressential skill-sets affecting other fields of study.
There are 22 computers in our lab currently. They are state-of-the-art with multimedia, most of them with 17″ LCD monitors that are easier on eyes, generate less
heat and consume less power thereby keeping the classroom atmosphere comfortable for children. We use our own LAN with Windows 7/10 for teaching-learning, documentation
and presentations.
